Environments root within memory, ecology and resilience.

By resilience I mean the definition from my final-year studio work: a place’s ability to keep its identity and function when outside forces act on it — development pressure, a changing climate, a community in flux. Heritage, for me, is the memory a community holds in a place, not only the buildings that survive.

I run HRCHco, a one-person company for spatial data and records work in the built environment, on one rule: the record owns, and the tools only read.

For it I build local-first software — model routing, an agentic workspace of seven apps, and a document engine written to specification — and I’m researching how buildings are captured, delivered and archived in open formats.
